Building Blocks --> Synchronized Random Protocol

The Synchronized Random protocol provides direct support for ~dealer-less~  random events. While traditional card games that include a shared deck require  something to act as a dealer and keep track of what cards have been dealt, many  games do not require such a feature. Regular dice and other open random event games as well as card games that do not use a shared deck (like collectible card games) can use the Synchronized Random protocol.

The Synchronized Random protocol is even more secure than the traditional  Random Protocol. Since there is no dealer, there is no one who can disclose information improperly. While the standard Random Protocol does ensure that the deck is not altered or manipulated, it cannot itself stop some forms of player-dealer collusion.

The Synchronized Random protocol makes it easy to build all sorts of  randomization systems confident that the outcomes cannot be predicted or  manipulated by any of the participants in the transaction. This technique is based on deterministic random number generators and hash functions, integrated in a new way as described in our international patents.

The mathematics and details of this protocol are described in our Technology Section --> Cryptography (view the Cryptography for Secure Game Elements of Chance).

The Random Transaction supports both sampling with replacement (like dice) and sampling without replacement (like cards or bingo).  The Random Transaction also supports the privacy function, described in the Multi-step Transaction. Note, the Random Transaction can be replaced by the Simultaneous Transaction when there is no secrecy in results and the extra overhead of the transaction can be supported.
