Building Blocks --> Strobe
Protocol
The STROBE
Transaction is used to securely provide a
real-time/event-driven style of game in a networked
environment. STROBE “secures time” by dividing it into a
sequence of events, much like a strobe light or film
camera partitions time.
For
SecurePlay, each of these events is a
Simultaneous
Transaction. The transaction does add some delay in
moving from instant to instant, but there are a number
of well-known attacks that “spoof” network time to gain
an advantage.
This transaction is only included in the Professional
version of SecurePlay.
This
technique is based on cryptographic algorithms
integrated in a new way as described in
our international patents.
The mathematics and details of this protocol are
described in our Technology Section --> Cryptography
(view the Cryptography for
Secure Game Elements of Chance).
