ACT Protocol
The Act Protocol is a new, hybrid
protocol designed to meet the performance and security
needs of game developers. By embedding random events
right into the STROBE protocol, game engine performance
is improved by eliminating additional processing to
resolve randomized game actions. Previously developers
would have needed to customize Strobe to incorporate
random events or include a separate Random or
Synchronized Random state engine, the Act protocol melds
both
functions seamlessly.
The Act Protocol combines the time security features of
STROBE with integrated random event generation with no
additional messages required. The Act Protocol is
perfect for Action games, Fighting games, Real-Time
Strategy (RTS) games, and even role-playing games (RPG).
Player actions and reactions are efficiently combined
with random events to deliver a high-performance, secure
state engine. |
